KLA has a track record of innovative projects that combine a conceptual approach to the Art of Landscape Architecture with an enthusiasm for new ideas and an open approach to working with others.
Lynn led the award winning Normand Park which supported a number of local social initiatives and became a test case for empowering local people to become involved in their open space.
Lynn is currently directing the Walthamstow Wetlands project, leading a large multidisciplinary team, and working with a complex stakeholder group and complex funding strategy. This project will open up 200 ha of land in London to public access, giving local populations access to nature.
The practice’s recent project at Brentford High Street has contributed to the revitalisation of a failing high street. This project has recently won the Landscape Institute’s Presidents medal.
The practice has a strong track record of working in schools, this experience culminated in the 2015 Stirling prize win for Burntwood School with AHMM.
In summary, Lynn’s practice is immersed in the possibilities of social change and art and design’s power to help deliver this change.
